AbstractThe contact resistance between the cathodes and interconnects constitutes a significant part of the overall resistance in a SOFC stack. In order to enhance the conductivity between the cathode and interconnect, a new stack configuration of SOFC is proposed, with flexible contact layers of strontium-doped lanthanum manganite inserted in between the cathodes and interconnects as separated components. The conducting material is in fabric structure prepared from template via wet-chemical method. The preparation process and performance of the conducting material are described.
