AbstractRecruiting positively charged armed nanoparticles into the ocular fundus was achieved by utilizing the natural intraocular electrical field. Their subsequent penetration into the fundus sub-layers was also tuned by optimizing the surface charge density. In addition to the sustained release behavior, such a precise delivery fulfilled various intraocular delivery requirements for different chorioretinal diseases.
