AbstractIn this paper, the thermoanalytical investigations on structure and chemical transformation of the Cs-P-W oxides are reported. The thermal decomposition and chemical transformations of solid Cs-P-W oxides prepared through evaporating the mixture solution containing a certain amount of Cs2CO3, (NH4)(2)HPO4 and (NH4)(6)PW7O24 center dot 6H(2)O were analyzed using the TG/DTA and X-ray diffraction during heating process at a rate of 5 A degrees C min(-1). The results showed that the W/Cs molar ratio significantly influences on the structure and chemical transformation of the Cs-P-W oxides. Besides, the influence of the support on the structure transformation is also investigated and found that the cesium tungsten oxides (CsW2O6) and cesium phosphotungstate salts (Cs (x) H3-x PW12O40) are formed on the surface of gamma-Al2O3 and SiO2, respectively, due to different interactions of component with supports.
