| Abstract | The crystallization of ammonium jarosite in concentrated ammonium ferric sulfate solutions was investigated. Effects of parameters such as agitation speed, temperature, and initial concentration of ferric sulfate were systematically researched in a batch crystallizer. The particles size distributions of ammonium jarosite were measured to analyze the crystals growth in concentrated ammonium ferric sulfate solutions for the first time. Meantime, the morphologies of ammonium jarosite were studied. It was found that crystallization parameters had a great effect on the morphologies of ammonium jarosite. The spherical, polyhedron and irregular shapes of ammonium jarostie crystals were found in this work. |
