AbstractHeterogeneously catalyzed decarboxylation of L-lysine is a green and promising way to produce cadaverine. Here, cadaverine was firstly synthesized by using the supported nano-sized ruthenium oxide (RuOx) catalysts. Under the optimized conditions, RuOx/BaSO4 possesses an excellent catalytic performance with L-lysine con -version of 99% and cadaverine selectivity up to 62%, which has a great industrial potential.
