Abstract | The interaction between amino acid molecules, especially crystallization, has always been the focus of researches. In this article, we use C-terminally aminated leucine (L-NH2) to regulate and co-assemble with amino acid model molecules to obtain a one-dimensional ordered monocrystal structure. We propose a possible electrostatic attraction-enhanced hydrogen bonding interaction between amino acids induced the crystal formation. The resulting monocrystals could be applied for optical waveguide. |
