AbstractA new intrinsic criterion, equivalent specific surface area ($) over cap S-e, is proposed, by which different fluidized behaviors of particles can be classified. In addition, this criterion has been introduced to prejudge fluidization behaviors of mono-component particles which have wide size distributions and multi-component mixtures of Geldart's type A, B or D powders.; A new intrinsic criterion, equivalent specific surface area ($) over cap S-e, is proposed, by which different fluidized behaviors of particles can be classified.
