AbstractIn this paper, the physical and chemical properties of iron-containing dust and sludge were studied. Then the sinter pot tests were investigated for different iron-containing dust and sludge mixture ratio and different carbon mixture ratio, and the industrial tests were carried out. Test results shown that, it was in favor of reducing sinter cost for higher levels of requisite elements in sintering, such as CaO and C etc. in iron-containing dust and sludge. As the fine granularity, there was best result using 1/3 carbon content in iron-containing dust and sludge instead of sintering fuel. This work can provide theoretical and technical basis for high efficient using iron-containing dust and sludge.; In this paper, the physical and chemical properties of iron-containing dust and sludge were studied.
